World Superbike 2008 Winter Testing

November 24th, 2007 by gofaster

It’s been almost two months after the final race of 2007, but the World Superbike Championship teams are back at it and hard at work preparing for the 2008 season. The Losail circuit in Qatar will be the venue for three days of testing for the official Pirelli development teams.

On track from the 28th to the 30th of November will be Troy Bayliss and Michel Frabrizio on the new Ducati 1200 twin, Noriyuki Haga and Troy Corser on the Yamaha R1, the new Suzuki pairing of Fonsi Nieto and Max Neukirchner, and last but not least the Honda SBK “rookies” Carlos Checa and Ryuichi Kiyonari. The only manufacturer not represented at Qatar will be Kawasaki, who will begin their testing schedule at Jerez in Spain.
