The former MotoGP World Champion, Valentino Rossi, is getting ready to hit the pavement tomorrow at Jerez for the final MotoGP testing of 2007. It will be the first outing for the champion on the new Bridgestone rubber. Rossi has missed the other two testing events due to wrist injuries from the final race, but they seem to no longer be a factor, Rossi and a large showing from his Fiat Yamaha MotoGP team competed at the Monza Rally Show, where Rossi retained his 4 wheel rally title. Taking the victory with co-pilot Carlos Cassina with a total time of 1:10′59.8 without a single penalty. The Rossi/Cassina team won 3 of the 7 special stage events that make up the competition, also placing 2nd twice, and a single 3rd and 5th.

Rossi also wanted to try out a few other events besides the main event, and was one of the better performers in the “Master Show”. Rossi managed to make it to the semi-finals and was the hottest showing from the MotoGP family in attendance, all the rest failed to make the first page of the time-sheets.
