At the Milan show a while back now, KTM announced it had joined forces with Red Bull to go racing in the SuperStock Championships with KTM’s newest creation, The RC8 Superbike. Thing of beauty, we will see how they do during the 2008 Championship season, hopefully soon there after we sill see them in Superbike! As soon as I get some solid specs and details, I’ll post them up.

Found this info on the web,
Yamaha (U.S.) announced an exciting new opportunity for sport bike fans to learn advanced riding skills and techniques from none other than the “Ragin’ Cajun” himself, former AMA 600 Supersport National Champion and Factory Team Yamaha Rider, Jamie James.
“The Jamie James Yamaha Champions riding School promises to be an excellent opportunity for riders to hone their skills from one of the best,” said David Docktor, Marketing Manager for Yamaha’s Motorsports Group. “And we’re confident that Jamie’s soft spoken and on the gas nature will be a strong motivator for each student.”
“This opportunity from Yamaha is a dream come true” said Jamie, “and I am looking forward to sharing my lessons learned in becoming AMA National Champion with my students. I have been involved with schools in the past 5-6 years so my own school is a very natural progression”.
Initially, each of the 7 schools will be based out of the prestigious Barber Motorsports Park circuit and will feature a fleet of specially prepared Yamaha FZ-6’s, YZF-R6’s, and YZF-R1 motorcycles. Additionally, other members of Yamaha’s family of champions such as “Mr. Daytona” himself Scott Russell will join select schools.
Further details and schedules on this exciting new sport bike school will be announced shortly.

Cool link I found floating around the web for a book, 101 Sportbike Performance Projects. This link is only a preview, you will need to purchase the book to read it in its entirety. Reading this preview I get the sense it will be great for novice to intermediate riders new to the world of motorcycling and sportbikes. Seems to give detailed descriptions and photos to keep things simple to understand.
